Role Description: The Web Designer is responsible for crafting visually compelling and user-friendly website designs that drive online donations, increase membership, educational and event opportunities, and enhance the member/donor experience with a mobile-first view. This role focuses on creating responsive layouts, intuitive navigation, and engaging visual elements that align with brand identity, campaign-style guides, and e-commerce best practices. The designer collaborates closely with the leadership team, cross-functional teams, and development teams to design high-performing landing pages, and a range of digital experiences that optimize conversion rates and ensure seamless functionality across devices. By leveraging emerging design trends, the designer continuously refines and elevates the online user experience to meet both creative and conversion goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly update content and ensure site security.
  • Optimize website performance and user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Strong ability to follow seasonal campaign style guides and translate into various digital assets.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in web design tools (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design and development skills.
  • Attention to detail and creativity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  •  5-7 years of experience in web design, preferably in an agency or in-house creative environment. 
  •  Experience in design software and tools including WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) required. 
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for collaborating with developers. 
  •  Understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices for web design.
